Olapanix 1 50 mg (Olaparib)

Olapanixis used for the returning treatment of some types of ovarian cancer in patients who have had platinum chemotherapy or a change in a gene called BRCA. Olapanix is a potent oral poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP) inhibitor. Cancer cells rely on PARP to stay alive, including cancer cells whose BRCA gene changes, thus Olapanix works to stop PARP from repairing DNA damage which results in the death of cancer cells.

How it Works
Olapanix is a potent oral poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP) inhibitor. PARP is a protein that helps cells repair themselves. By inhibiting the action of PARP cancer cells are unable to repair themselves.

Expert advice

It is advisable to contact your doctor and go to the emergency room immediately if you experience a fever of 38 degrees or more with chills, if you have an allergic reaction such as swelling, itching, or hives and if you are experiencing trouble breathing and having uncontrollable cough.

Important Precautions

It is advisable to inform your doctor of any other medications or prescription medications you are taking before starting Olapanix treatment. You are also advised against taking any kind of vaccination or immunization while on Olapanix treatment.
